I was born and raised in Reykjavik. My father immigrated to Iceland from Denmark and my mother’s side traces its roots over a 1,000 years. This family branch includes Ragnar “Lothbrok” Sigurdsson from the Viking series.

Decade highlights:

Fifties: School was not my cup of coffee nor was I the teachers’. Spent a year in a sanatorium.

Sixties: Spent a year in England to learn English, traveled to the United States and got rid of my British accent.

Seventies: Started teaching. Married. Had children.

Eighties: Continued teaching. Married again. Had more children.

—to save time and avoid eye strain, let’s skip over the Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and more Bush eras.

I retired in 2006 and started writing. Since then, I’ve become addicted to learning and creating new experience. Write a newsletter and now this updated blog.
